Slow Goin' Saturday

I’m really happy with how the Princess Costume giveaway has gone and these entries just make me want to give everyone a dress up costume for their special girl. Sadly I can’t but the good news is that I have at least one more costume to give away in the very near future so don’t despair if you don’t win. I had some bloodwork done on Thursday in preparation for my scans on December 12th and my endocrinologist actually got some of the test results back yesterday. I won’t bore you with what all she said but I am happy to say that she feels the B12 shots are working and helping to bring my levels back up. YAY!! It sucks having to stick a needle in my arm but it’s worth it.

Hubby and I bought our Christmas tree yesterday. MonkeyBoy was suppose to go with us but I just didn’t have the heart to wake him early in the morning. He was sleeping so soundly he was actually snoring a little. Awwwwww. So Vin and I got an eight foot tall Noble Fir (I think that’s what it’s called) that we put up tonight and then decorating hopefully on Sunday.

As for today, I have spent it doing not much of anything. Just some laundry, some writing, looked for Christmas gifts (I did most of my shopping online this year which was GREAT!!), and read a few chapters of the books The C.S.I. Effect and Queen of the Amazons. Yes, I'm reading two books at once but I started one then misplaced it so I started another and then found the first one. It's actually quite easy to keep the two storylines straight and seperated. One is about the reality behind crime scene investigation and the other is about the legendary Amazons and Alexander the "Great". I recommend both books if you're into either of those subjects by the way.

Well it's late and I must be up and ready tomorrow to declare my winner right?! So I'm off to bed and hope that you get a good night's sleep yourself. Hugz

Go Look!!

Before I run off to bed I just wanted to tell you guys to head over to our homeschooling blog- Sona Creidhe Homeschooling- and tell me what you think of my very first book review for Mother Talk. I'm very excited to be a part of Mother Talk and this is probably one of my new favorite things I enjoy about blogging. I love to read, I horde books like I own a library, and now I get to right reviews on books. It gets no better I tell you.

I didn't make it to my doctor's appointment yesterday because I've recently been hit by a horrid case of nausea at different times of the day (definately not morning sickness..no chance at all) and yesterday it was joined by such awful vertigo-like dizziness that my eyes were actually crossing! I had to laugh because you know that shit has got to look funny! My oldest darling son helped me to the couch though and then sat to talk with me for two hours while I couldn't move. My kids are so great and so easy to love. *sigh*

Thanks to this nausea/dizzy crap I had to let Onorach and Sona Creidhe Reviews fall by the way side this week. Nice way to start new blogs I know but if I have to choose, LWH is my baby and it comes first on the blog list. :) I'm going to work hard on both blogs this weekend so that doesn't happen again anytime soon so stay tuned to them.

Besides all the stupid crap in the last two paragraphs it has actually been a pretty good week. I have started receiving alot of the stuff I won from the A Girl's Gotta Spa's "Mom: Get Glamorous" contest. I plan on doing a full post solely about all the great stuff I won by the weekend. Do Not Disturb!

I don't know about the rest of you but I am one tired puppy already and it is only Wednesday!! Monday just flew by because  I started giveaways on my Onorach and Sona Creidhe Reviews blogs. I tell you, my stats went from about 10 visits a day per blog to around 200 per day! It's unreal and I've already got almost 200 people total entered to win one of the eight prizes I'm offering. Wow!

By the way, if you haven't entered yet then I suggest you get your hiney over and do it now! No excuses! David, make sure you let Terri know so she can join too. ;) You have until Friday morning and then I will personally come to your blog and chastise you. The Blog Cafe and EMealsForYou have even donated some prizes to give my readers. Isn't that cool?!

Some good news. I entered Gotta Spa's "Mom: Get Glamorous" contest and guess what? I WON!! Can you believe it? I actually won something! It was so wonderful to be chosen and I am definately looking forward to all the great pampering products I will be getting. Hubby has already been warned that if he touches a single one of my bath products he will die a horrible death!! Thankfully most of the stuff is scented with girlie scents so he probably won't touch them. That means they will be MINE ALL MINE MINE MINE MINE!!! Did I mention they are mine? ;) Now I just have to worry about the girlchild stealing something. Hmmmm, I may have to trade her for a camel yet.

Last night I had the joy of talking to my blogsister Janice from Twist & Skewer and talk about fun! I think we chatted for about 4 hours and have so much in common. It was great getting to talk to her and talking about anatomy (she's going to college for nursing) with someone was fun. My knowledge was learned in life because of cancer and my health but so has some of her's. She's an amazing woman and I'm very glad to be able to get to know her better.

Last but definately not least, my other blogsister Saint Amy Jane has given me a very cool award. Amy is amazing and I am honored to know she thinks so much of me. I think getting her Hellatight award is KICK ASS!! If you haven't visited her yet then please do so soon. Wonderful lady.
