Still Alive And Kicking Hiney

I owe an update and hope to have it up by tomorrow. February has been a longgggggg month to say the least. Lots of fun including me almost dying (seriously. no joking there) and the possibility of breast cancer. Yeah, I told ya... good times good times. *smile*

Anyway- the heathens are all doing fine and I'm feeling much better. It seems that the last time I posted I had a sinus infection and bronchitis plus extra. Those are both gone now and we get to focus just on the cancer and upcoming surgeries.

I've missed everyone and thank you to those of you who have loyally read and been checking for posts. It means alot to me. Hopefully I can get back to blogging and commenting again. It's definitely been dull without my blog buddies.

I think the kids are sick of me and wishing I'd blog too. It's amazing how many things your teenagers don't want to talk about. I mean, what's wrong with pointing out that your teen daughter has boobies now or that the name your teen son uses on MySpace makes him sound like a transvestite?? Sheeeesh, no sense of humor I swear. *wink*

There's a very small, exclusive club I know about - it's the people who don't lose their sense of humor just because they have a terminal illness club. When I was doing chemo and felt like crap and my kidneys were failing, I thought "oh, I should go to a support group and be with people like me", omg, what boring people, talking about death, and not laughing at my medical marijane jokes - where were MY peeps?. Blogging rocks. Now that I'm in remission, my friends just want to ignore the fact that I still have a better than 50% chance of still dying in the next couple years, they don't like it when I joke about it. I saw one of my ex's a couple weeks ago and she says "oh, you look well" and I said, screw you, I look GREAT. Hang in there and keep fighting. I think of you every day.

Soooooooo happy to see you. I've been checking back often. February IS a hell of a long month isn't it? My life is better when you are in it, so I'm kinda selfishly happy when I see you blogging. :-) I'll send a private email soon and update you on me. And oh yes! I hear ya about the teenagers! Mine have forbidden me to write about them. LOL!

Hey,

My child just told me something that yours told her a while ago. I'm so, so, so sorry. I'll go and strangle her when I get off here.

I've been thinking of trying to call you for weeks, but it always seems to fall about 8/9 in the morning here and I know that with the time difference, you'd probably be asleep...now I feel so guilty. though I did call the other day when it was later, but didn't leave a message.

Ack! Sounds like you need to be out of February and fast! I'm sorry to hear you've been through crap. As for trying to talk to teens, I hear, "MOM!" way too often. Is it bad to ask that conditioner not be left on the toilet? :-|

Um, what? You had better be getting better do you hear me? I need someone to harass and be a wise-ass with, otherwise I'm so gonna have to take it out on my kids...

Sorry to hear that you haven't been feeling well. Sending tons of hugs your way!
Doubt it'll make you feel better, but everyone here has been passing around the "crud" as well(look at that! I didn't have a potty mouth that time!). Steve actually has pneumonia right now, the baby has RSV and now my stomach has been turning all day.

I'm SO excited to see what tomorrow will bring!
Hugs again and I think of you often.

Hope you're still doing okay there, Jo. Haven't heard anything in a few... But more importantly... you seem to keep upgrading the template on your site. Love it! Especially the nav going across the top now. Finally I can make some sense of your site. :)
